# 3TG — TypeScript Test Templates Generator

> 3TG (3rd Generation Testing, https://3tg.dev) is a Testing-as-a-Service tool that generates executable, strongly-typed unit, component, and mock tests for TypeScript and React from human-written specifications. You describe the expected behavior as a Markdown table in a `.3tg.md` file; 3TG produces clean Vitest or Jest test files mapped one-to-one to your rules — deterministically, with no model guessing your logic.

Key ideas that distinguish 3TG from a generic AI code assistant:

- **Spec-driven, not source-driven.** The required behavior is declared by you in Markdown; the generator maps each table row to one test case. The spec is the source of truth.
- **Deterministic by default.** Generated tests are a pure function of the spec table. AI (an optional Gemini key) only *proposes* candidate inputs and expected results you explicitly approve. The IDE extensions run with no AI at all.
- **Lives in your repo.** Specs are plain `.3tg.md` files that version, branch, and review alongside the code they describe, so docs and code can't drift.

Entry points (same engine behind all three): a **VS Code** extension, a **JetBrains/IntelliJ** plugin, and an **MCP server** (`https://mcp.3tg.dev/mcp`) that any MCP-capable agent (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Codex, Copilot, Continue, Cline) can drive conversationally.

Pricing: the Free plan is the full product, capped at 100 generated tests/month.
